Information about booking weddings
To secure your wedding booking, you will need to pay a £200 deposit. Please make any cheques payable to PCC of St Laurence Cowley. For administration purposes cheques are generally preferred but you can pay in cash.
Both the bride and the groom will need to come into the office to sign the Banns of Marriage application.
Bookings must be agreed with the church warden. Couples should be resident in Cowley parish or be regular worshippers at St Laurence’s on Sunday mornings. Please talk to the church wardens if you’d like to find out more.
The church does not have an organist and books a freelance organist for weddings and funerals. The organist fee is separate. Please let the church know if you need an organist when you make the booking.
The organist fee is £145.
The church has a CD player which is operated by members of the church congregation.
There is a £25 fee for using the CD player.
Other important information about bookings
All bookings must be made in person in the church office. No telephone bookings or email bookings will be taken.
It’s very important that you give the church the correct contact details. You may wish to email the church office after making the booking to confirm that your email address is correct. If you change your address or telephone number after making the booking you must let the church know.
