Following Jesus is a 7-day a week commitment. Church attendance on Sunday morning is just one part of Christian discipleship. For most of the week churchgoers are not in church. We have the opportunity to share the good news about Jesus wherever we may be.
What does sharing the good news mean? It’s about much more than telling people what Christians believe. We share the good news when we live as disciples.
The original disciples 2,000 years ago weren’t perfect. They often doubted Jesus and misunderstood what he said. One of the disciples was Judas Iscariot! But they made the decision to follow Jesus, and in doing so they radically changed their lives.
This year our Diocese wants us to ask God to help Christians be disciples in particular areas of London life, such as the railway network and in sports.
